Mr. Issa Massare [Dip. in Education, LLB (Hons) - University of Dar es Salaam, Msc. Security Management - Loughborough University UK] is a registered practising Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania since 2005.

He has worked with Tanzania Cigarette Company Plc, a member of JTI group of companies for sixteen years in different positions, including; Country Head, Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs Manager and lately, Ag. Director - Corporate Affairs.

As a Head of Security he was responsible for conducting country-wide security risk assessment for product supply chain, security of company assets and employees including international assignees, protection of intellectual Property - IP (anti counterfeit and contraband), identification of all other business risks, setting up and implementing preventive measures.

Government Relations and Regulatory Affairs role, included identification of key business stakeholders, pinpointing issues affecting business operating environment and engaging respective stakeholders appropriately, Engagement areas included, but not limited to taxation, regulations, product standards and general compliance, the role that provident the incumbent with wide range of network with industry/business associations and Government regulatory authorities and agencies. Briefly stated, the roe included anticipating change in the operating environment, crafting strategic measure to address the challenge and building resilience in order to achieve business objectives with minimum commercial risk and maximum competitive advantage.

As Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Issa Massare has earned a wealth of experience in corporate governance, strategic business planning, high level negotiations, public relations, internal and external communication and community related engagements . Mr. Issa Massare has attended various courses oversees in areas of Corporate Security, Corporate Affairs, Business Management and Leadership. He is a member of International Associations of Chiefs' of Police, East Africa Law Society and Tanganyika Law Society.
